Lady Charger Basketball

  • Senior Night With a lost post-season in 2020 due to Covid-19, the Chargers looked forward to the new school year. The virus necessitated a shortened season with no post-season scheduled for the IHSA. Two major injuries in the season spelled hardship as well as the Lady Chargers finished 6 - 8.

A major highlight of the season, however, occurred on March 11 versus Regina when Keri Mirabelli recorded her 1000th point! Nessa Walsh also had a banner night with a career high 27 points. Kendall Fulton would reach a milestone as well with a career high 20 rebounds versus Walther Christian.

Mirabelli led the team in scoring overall with 179 points, averaging 12.8 per game. Walsh led in assists with 30, averaging 2.5 per game. Collectively, Mirabelli and Fulton combined for 172 rebounds or 12.5 per game. Walsh averaged 3 steals per game, finishing the season with 39 and 224 in her high school career.

Congratulations also to Mirabelli and Walsh both of whom were selected to the GCAC All-Conference First Team.
