I am a second-career teacher after enjoying a nine-year stint as a sports writer for our local Suburban Life Newspaper. The 2020-21 school year is my 12th year teaching, and my ninth at St. Joseph. After leaving Suburban Life, I taught for three years at Proviso West prior to coming to St. Joseph beginning with the 2012-13 school year. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia College Chicago in Journalism and a Master of Arts degree from Roosevelt University in Journalism. I also have a Master of Science degree from DePaul University in Education. During my tenure here at St. Joseph, I have coached girls’ JV basketball and I currently moderate the school newspaper, The Lance. I teach every level of Junior English and also teach Sophomore Honors English and the Journalism/Creative Writing elective. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing and visiting Major League Baseball stadiums, where I have currently hit 17 of the 30 existing ballparks.
